Onze machine is een gereviseerde (revisie juni 2004) BMW/Hatz D12. Het vermogen van de machine is maar net genoeg (10 pk), maar het is een buitengewoon betrouwbare machine, zoals tijdens de revisie bleek. Hoewel de motor geen noemenswaardige compressie meer had, bleef de machine tot de revisie trouw zijn werk doen.
Het brandstofverbruik van zo'n lichte machine is gering, slechts iets meer dan een liter per uur bij 80% van het vermogen.
Dankzij een balansas is de motor redelijk trillingsarm.
De keerkoppeling is een Hurth, een bekend, betrouwbaar apparaat.

Fuel grade: diesel fuel to DIN 51601 or BS 2869-Al/A2 or ASTMD 975-2D

Engine cooling system: Single-circuit cooling system with water pump directly connected
